"I entirely abandoned the study of letter. Resolving to seek no knowledge other than that which could be found in myself or else in the great book of the world, I spent the rest of my youth traveling, visiting courts and armies, mixing with people of diverse temperaments and ranks, gathering various experiences, testing myself in the situations which fortune offered me, and at all times reflecting upon whatever came my way so as to derive some profit from it." Finally evidence I was in Shanghai

Ryan aka tour guide of the century, welcoming us into Shanghai true expat style Noodles in Dave's shoe. They accidentily (conveniently) spilled there at first, then more noodahles joined their buddies.... nice surprise the next morning. squish squish.
Coolest building ever. Pink balls on a space needle, with larger globes resembling the earth at the base.
Trying to be super FOBs (fob... fresh off the boat...) peace.

The most fun one can have in China- each "disguise" cost only 12 cents. they made a really obnoxious/cool noise when we blew into them... definitely intimidated some tourists
One of the most crowded streets i've ever braved. TMP= too many people after exchanging only 150 USD I got approx a wad of bills 3 inches thick. most of the stack is fives or tens in chinese money- pretty much the highest denomination they issue in china is only 100 RMB, which is roughly $12.50USD.
View of old Shanghai at dusk...

Having a break at Lavazza Espresso- a little italian coffee place, which the chinese translated their menu into "alcohole" coffee. it soon became a_hole coffee to a couple of delirious americans
